Does it matter where you came
from? Would you be better off not knowing about your supposed origin? 
Yes, and no. Hey, I am
not going to answer these questions in the way others expected. What I am going to do is
to answer them in my own way, stumbling over this and that, here and there, deviating from
the issues now and then, going back and forth, sometimes in different directions at the
same time. That is the way I talk to my friends. I bet
you talk the same way, too. So we shall ignore the rules and talk in simple English. Okay?
Where did humans come from? Who or what created life and why? Oh,
I don’t know. Really, I don’t know, at least for a fact. I was not born then,
you know! Or, maybe I was but have forgotten about it. Heck! Am I really that old? I hate
it when priests, teachers, scientists and parents and politicians talk about the origin of
life as if they know everything. Don’t you?
Seriously, the origin of life and who
was the creator are all speculation. They are only theories. God is a man-made concept of
about four thousand years old. Before the arrival of Judaism, Christianity and Islam - the
three major religions that promote the concept of the one God - there were thousands of
religions with multiple gods. Today, there are still thousands of such religions with
multiple gods, the major ones being Taoism, Hinduism and Wicca.
It is important to know our origins for practical
reasons, even if the knowledge is not based on actual facts. The reason will be obvious to
you as you grow up. The truth about your origin is important but not so important that you
adopt the beliefs of others as stated in their books and tapes without sufficient proof.
Learn from your experiences and those of
others but be guided only by your own. Knowing who you are and where you come from can
help you to become a more effective person. Even before Darwin published his theory on the
origin of the species, people everywhere throughout the ages have often wondered from
where did they came from.
Organized religions tell us that we were created by a higher benevolent being, God. But
Science tells us that all higher life-forms evolved from lower ones. This means that we
have evolved from the one-cell creatures to the apes or some other creatures and to our
present form.
The modern theory of evolution deals only with the
physical side of evolution although many scientists are trying to add some elements of
spirituality to the theory so that it is more convincing. That would make it more
interesting, right?
After all, there are many modern people who
think of science as a god even though it is still struggling after many centuries to
explain the workings of the universe. With the power of science (or God), you can plunder
the planet and subjugate its population.
Science is power. One day, with cloning, biotechnology and
cryogenics, its power could be termed as infinite.
As you know, you are not a mere human being. It may
be possible to explain that your physical form and five senses are the result of
evolution. But what about the emotional, mental and spiritual sides of your being. No
theory of evolution can ever explain them although scientists are working on that
shortcoming.
Many scientists still do not accept the mystical
and psychic qualities of humankind yet because they have NOT experienced the real thing. I
am sure that more of them will as they 'grow up' as we cross over into the next millennium
and the next evolutionary cycle of humanity.
Where did the higher qualities and essence of your
True Self come from? Religious people say that they came from God, their God. Skeptics
like myself is not so sure and we disagree with many aspects of the religious theory
because they don’t tally with real experiences.
The theory of involution states that humans
were created by God and given the power of the heart, mind and spirit of God so that they
may help on the purpose of the universe, that is, the business of God. Who created God?
Man, isn't it? If that is so, aren't we worshipping our own creations?
You’re only young
once. So get up and get going today. Break away from the slavery of material things. End
your addiction to the idiot box. Break away from all those habits, fears and limitations
imposed by people in authority against you. Follow your heart and live your dream
life. Adopt the battle-cry of "I can, I will, I dare, and I do!" I know
you can do it!
